Brennan Walsh is a hobbyist blogger, a horse racing enthusiast, a novice Muay Thai practitioner, and a lifelong learner. Hailing from Upstate New York, Brennan now spends his time in Tampa, FL with his wife. When he's not writing, you can find him in the gym, on the golf course, in a local coffee shop, or at the pool enjoying the Florida sun - usually with a book in hand.

Founded in 2025, Silks and Steaks is Brennan's personal blog dedicated to the things he's most passionate about in life: Horse Racing, Food and Travel, and Mixed Martial Arts. Centered around the theme of risk-taking, the blog explores the intersection of high stakes and high life, combining Brennan's love for taking risks with his love for classy endeavors. The name is a coy play on words, combining the "silks" worn by jockeys in horse racing, with "steaks" (stakes) to allude to Brennan's passion for fine dining and risk taking.
